It’s Tuesday again, and that means it’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday! It’s hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! Today is a freebie, and it’s too early to post the “best of” lists, but I’ve been thinking about 2020. One of the things I’ve been thinking about is the books I want to reread next year! So that’s the topic I chose.
I’ve been rereading the Shadowhunter books in anticipation of Chain of Gold coming out on March 3rd. I read a little over 30 pages a day. I should be up to The Dark Artifices at the beginning of the year. I know I’m reading Clockwork Princess right now, but I plan on reading some of the short story books between now and the first of the year.
It’s been a while since I reread Divergent. Well, a year. I love these characters and would like to read the trilogy next year, including Four. I might pass on “We Can Be Mended”. I’m not a fan of everything past chapter 50 of Allegiant.
One of the comp books to my (still untitled) NaNoWriMo 2019 book is Sky Without Stars. Plus, I loved the book. I’d love to give this a reread before Between Burning Worlds comes out on March 24th.
Another book I’m looking forward to reading next year is Liberté, the sequel to Enchantée. I have a while before I have to reread this one though: Liberté doesn’t come out until Bastille Day (July 14, 2020).
Another series I hope to reread next year is The Young Elites. I still want to finish writing my Young Elites fanfic, which tells this story from Magiano’s point of view and is over 300 pages already, but to do that, I need the character’s voices to be fresh in my head. Besides, I really love this story.
There’s only five pictures here, but they represent ten books, so I think I’ll stop here. This year I probably will have reread 23 books (some were quite short). It’s possible I may reread that many books next year, but I don’t want to make plans to reread a lot of books that I won’t get around to. These books are those that are pulling at me and I have a strong desire to reread, and I’ll do my darndest to finish again next year.
I still need to read The Young Elites series and Enchantee. I can’t wait for Chain of Gold. I should be rereading TID before it but I don’t know if I will have the time. I have a lot of books I want to catch up on.
I think it is so amazing you write fan fiction. I really want to.

I’m excited for Chain of Gold too… I just finished Clockwork Princess this morning and if that epilogue doesn’t get you wanting more, I don’t know what will!
If you want to write fanfiction, go for it! I get a lot of my fanfic ideas from wondering “what if?” or extending from the original timeline.
Great list, I hope you enjoy all of these even more when you re-read them!

Thank you!
Happy rereading next year! I still haven’t gotten around to finishing The Dark Artifices this year. #oops.

Well, QOAAD has only been out for a year. You still have time :-). The first book of The Wicked Powers isn’t expected until 2022 so if you finish before that, you’ll be good!
I don’t tend to reread books often, but I do think Divergent is definitely worth going back to.
🙂 It’s one of my favorites!
I hope you get to read all the books on your list! Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.
Thank you! I don’t think it’ll be a problem, although I do want to read the books with sequels coming out at specific times so that will be more tricky to schedule.
I hope you get to reread all of these books in 2020.

Thank you.
I rarely reread books. There are a couple favorites I revisit once in a while or if a new book in a series is coming out and I can’t remember anything that happened in the last one, I’ll at least skim through it. Otherwise, nope. I hope you get to these and enjoy them the second time around.
Happy TTT!

Thank you! I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve read Divergent, LOL. I’ve even read it in Spanish (twice) and German! And I tried reading it in Russian, but it’s really difficult, so I haven’t finished it in that language.
I still can’t believe I haven’t gotten around to reading Divergent! 2020 is THE YEAR! LOL! Happy Tuesday!

I think we all have books that we think everybody has read (but that’s really not true). I hope you get the chance to read it in 2020!
Great post! I have a list of books I want to reread next year too. I did manage to reread Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows this year before I read Queen of Air and Darkness. I can’t wait to read Chain of Gold too!

Last year before QOAAD came out I still hadn’t read all the Shadowhunter books. I pre-ordered QOAAD because I wanted the gift that came with it, and a week before its release I realized I had access to all the books. So what did I do? I attempted to read Clockwork Princess, Lady Midnight and LoS in 7 days. I managed it in 8, then followed it up with QOAAD. I was exhausted afterwards, LOL. I’ve been taking my time with this reread.
Good luck! I know I want to reread Scythe and Carry On next year. Maybe The Handmaid’s Tale too.

Scythe would be a good book to read for the FIRST time in 2020 (for me at least)!
I should re- read Divergent at some point too- that’d be fun! I also never finished Allegiant. I did like Four though.
Those were good stories. I haven’t read those in quite a while.
Read to Chapter 49 in Allegiant and then say “Aaaaand Tris released the memory serum without problems and they all lived happily ever after.” And you’re good.
One of the books I want to read is Red, White and Blue again. It’s been a long time I’ve felt like that, so I think that’s got to be one I need to get back to. It’s just sooo cute! This list is such a good reminder of those books that deserve re-reading.
I hope you get the chance to. I know a lot of people love that book. As book bloggers we’re always reading the newest thing, but some books are just too good to only read once!
I can’t even think about doing re-reads at this point. I’m even struggling to get the time to knit. I envy your ability to have a re-read list, let alone follow through 🙂
I haven’t had time to cross-stitch in a while. Maybe because I’m rereading books, LOL.
I love a good reread. Hope you get a chance to reread all of these!
Thanks. I’m pretty good at planning what I read, so I’ll probably get to them all.
Happy re-reading!

Thank you!
I would love to reread more in 2020 – I might have to reread Sky Without Stars before the sequel comes out!
Love Lady Midnight! I’m finally reading Queen of Air and Darkness now and its killing me. Cant wait for Chain of Gold.
I can probably safely say that Chain of Gold is going to be one of my favorite books in 2020.
Because of time, I never re-read anything, but I have certainly read books I’d LIKE to re-read, so who knows! Maybe someday I will. Hope you enjoy all of these.

Thank you! I’m sure I will. They’re on this list for a reason. I think I’ve read Divergent about six times now, LOL. Maybe more. I read it several times before I started tracking my books on Goodreads.
